Hi Mom! Everything is going good here. This is a really cool city. A lot smaller than Moscow and lots of history. Can’t wait to show you the pictures. Try to call again today please!

Hello Kerry! I’ve found you! This is Kristie Eaket (now McNair) - not sure if you remember your old pal from Melville… I moved away at the end of Grade 2, but still think fondly about switching bikes with you on our way to St. Henry’s. Your bike had the cool handle breaks, and mine were on the pedals :)

Congratulations on all of your success in Speed Skating!!!

  7. kerry08 Says:

Kristie! Of course I remember you! That is funny what you said about the bikes. That is what I remember too. I also remember playing murder mysteries in your basement. Hilarious! Thanks for leaving me a message.

  14. Scot Middleton Says:

    Hi Kerry,

We met two different times, once with my 3 kids (2 girls, one boy) when they cheered you on in 2007 with the Go Kerry Go shirts, and again before new years at the time trials at the Oval.

My son Simon is working on a project in Grade 3 about the Olympics, and he has chosen to write about you. He was wondering what you do when you are not skating. Are you a student, or do you have another job?

Hope you are having fun watching the olympic events to cheer your team mates on. I know that we are!

    Scot

  15. kerry08 Says:

    Hi Scot,

I’m so honoured that your son chose to write about me! Outside of skating I go to the University of Calgary and am graduating this spring with a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology. Skating and school took up too much time for me to get a job, although I did work in the summers previous to making the National Team.

I have an older post called “other things I do” that might help as well. Please don’t hesitate to ask more questions. I don’t want to leave my email on the site, so you can get it through Laura at AdFarm or Brian DeKoch at Dow.

Good luck on the paper, Simon!

    Kerry

That older post is called “Some other things I do” is from November 2008.

I have been to your site half a dozen times now, and this time I am adding it to my bookmarks :) Your posts are always relevant, unlike the same-old stuff on other sites (which are coming off my bookmarks!) Two thumbs up!

Hi Kerry, enjoyed your email, now going to post a blog. I’m thinking of taking golf lessons. Do you golf? I can’t remember you ever talking about golf. Great sport. Oh, I bought another 21 speed bike, now Unlce Leonard and I can race down Sylvan streets. lol
